Sjödalens Fouquet - "Lillen"

Sjödalens Fouquet This is Lillen. His real name was Fouquet, but no one could ever pronounce that, they only said "The Little One" ("Lillen") and that's how he got his nickname. Lillen got some success in the show-ring, he was no. 13 at the Swedish Cavalier club's list over showed dogs in 1985. In all he sired five litters with the result of 27 puppies of whom you can se some pictures below.

I have found a folder with all Lillens show critiques. Therefore, I have added some of the most interesting ones below his pedigree. Lillen was showed at Ch shows about 30 times, and many times at Open shows. In all, he won 7 RCCs. He also competed in field trials, and have got the second best result for a Cavalier ever from Apellklass spår. 273 points where max is 320.

Lillen at the Swedish premiere of Agility in Stockholm in December 1984. A team from Ronneby Hundungdom took part, including among others, me and Lillen. The team were so successful that we got a second place, and therefore we got to go on a sponsored trip to the Swedish Winner Show in January 1985. That was really fun!

Lillen enjoyed to come along for the ride in most vehicles. When he was young and I didn't have a drivers license, he always followed me sitting in the handlebar basket of my bike. He and Dante also enjoyed our boat, hanging with the paws over the edge, looking at the seagulls with their ears swinging in the wind. Later on Lillen also enjoyed to ride on the windsurfing board when it wasn't blowing to much. But, top of his journeys, was definitely when he went riding with me on my motorcycle. Hot days, he sat behind me on the bike in a blue plastic box when we both wanted to cool of.

Lillen died in February 1995 and Hampus in September the same year. After that we were almost without dogs until Lina arrived in 1997. We had a Flat Coated Retriever called Kim for a short while too, but he was nine years old when we got him, so he didn't live with us more than half a year. May they all rest in peace.

Lillen was showed under alot of well known judges, among others Mrs Lesley Jupp (Eyeza), Mrs Diana McLaine (Lochbuie), Erna Jungefält, C-J Adlercreutz and Öivind Asp.

SCKCS Lida, Stockholm 1984-05-31. Judge Yvonne Larsson. Bra storlek och typ men får inte växa mer. Bra huvud och uttryck. Kunde ha något större ögon. Rör sig bra bak, en aning trångt fram. Prize of honour. Best puppy male 6-9 months, Second best puppy male.

SKK Jönköping, 1985. Judge Nils Molin. Utm helhetsuttryck. Tilltalande hanhund. Välformat vackert huvud, härligt uttryck. Mkt bra byggd, flotta rörelser. 3 skl, Ck, BH-5. (Best Dog 5, Res CC).

SCKCS Lida, Stockholm 1985-05-18. Judge Mrs Diana McLaine (Lochbuie). Large, well balanced dog. Slightly too strong in head but good eyes and nose pigment. Well constructed body. Very good coat. Moved very well. Good temperament. 3 skl, hp, BH-7. (Best Dog 7)

SKK Helsingborg 1985-09-15. Judge Mr Harry Jordan, England. Little heavy in skull, nice deep front, good neck. Firmly made frame, legs and feet, very sound in action, moves with good drive and trust. 2 skl. Ck, BH-3 (Best Dog 3, Res CC).

SKK open show Kristianopel. Sept 85. Judge K-G Fredriksson. Rejäl hane m maskulint huvud. Bra hals och rygg. Rejäl benstomme. Typiska rörelser. Väl präglad. BIR, BIG, BIS-3

SKK Malmö 1986-02-23, Judge Berit Stokkvin, Norway. Hane av mkt god typ o storlek. Gott huvud och könsprägel. God kropp, fria rörelser, normalt utvecklad, bra svans, god päls och färg. 3 skl, Ck, BH-5 (Best Dog 5, Res CC).

SKK Västrås 1986-04-26, Judge Mr Harry Jordan, England. A little bit heavy in skull. Good withers, loin should be a bit shorter. Has quite a nice turn of stifle. Good coat. Free easy moving. Should make up well. Oplacerad, Ck. (Rec CC)

SKK Helsingborg 1987-09-13, Judge Ole Staunskjaer, Denmark. Bra storlek och helhetsintryck. Kraftig välbyggd hane. Lite stor men mycket bra huvud och uttryck. Prima överlinje. Välvinklad. Härlig benstomme. Vacker päls och färg. Rör sig mycket bra. 2 skl, Ck, BH-6 (Best Dog 6, Res CC).
